PE owned manufacturing technology company “We are a midsized manufacturing company recently purchased by Private Equity.  Over the last 12 months we have acquired four businesses, each without a human resources function.  At this point in our evolution, we decided to build HR from the ground up and add a Human Resource Coordinator at each of our two largest manufacturing facilities (before adding a global HR leader across all businesses).  We appreciated that our newly created HR function required guidance from an experienced HR executive like Jamie.  Jamie joined us to guide our new team and to tackle a range of important tasks including:
  • Personally verifying I-9 compliance for every one of our employees;
  • Developing an overarching Employee Handbook outlining our objectives, guidelines, policies;
  • Establishing round tables and a communication plan to give employees “voice” at all levels of the organization improving morale, retention and satisfaction;
  • Installing a methodology to quantify employee morale (using the round tables) and identify employee prioritized needs;
  • Developing a compensation strategy for our Tennessee facility;
  • Mentoring me on how to better inject our new HR Coordinators into local management;
